Attention. This is necessary but not sufficient! Cat videos grab a lot of attention.

Thought. Your audience can’t stop thinking about what you said. That’s great! But thinking still isn’t enough.

Discussion. If your idea is so interesting that people can’t contain it in their own heads, you’re making progress. You generate conversations. Fantastic!

Action. This is your true goal. If your idea is so interesting that people who hear about it simply have to act on it, then you’ve got a truly provocative, useful idea.
